Death Grips’ final ever (maybe) album is going to finally be released on March 17th and this is the second song to be taken from the second side of the double album entitled ‘Jenny Death’.
On GP is unlike anything Death Grips have done before. The song instrumentally goes down a pretty standard rock route sounding like the complete opposite of anything that was found on the first half of the album ‘Niggas On Tha Moon’. It’s an extremely melancholy song and MC Ride’s lyrics show that. The song has him extremely depressed with lyrics like ‘my most recent purchase old black rope/ gonna learn how to tie it hang it in my chamber’. All of the lyrics are very hard to take in because MC Ride’s delivery is even harder to understand when he’s screaming over those guitars with his choppy flow. You’re certainly going to need to read the lyrics that are in the description of the video.
