Death From Above are back and better than ever with their first new single in ten years ‘Trainwreck 1979’.
Speaking to NME, Sebastian Grainger explained that the new LP partially came to fruition to appease their fans: “No matter what Jesse [Keeler] and I do, on whatever scale of success it’s sat on, there’s always some kind of reference to Death From Above. It’s only frustrating because it’s so lazy. So we’re putting out a Death From Above record and if the press is like, ‘It’s not what we expected,’ or however they react to it, it’s like, ‘Well, you’ve been fucking asking for it.’”
So naturally the song picks up where they left off and has them delivering noise rock with brilliantly catchy hooks. The song is to feature on their upcoming album ‘The Physical World’ which comes out September 9th.
